‘I Ain’t Sorry’ Tinah Mashiloane To Tumi Sole

In 2019; Tinah Mashiloane accused lawyer and social media activist Tumi Sole of raping and infecting her with HIV at a hotel in Durban.

Later that year Tinah Mashiloane took to social media to issue an apology saying her allegations were false and defamatory. On the letter Tinah Mashiloane admitted to having created a fake X account under Lerato Motsoeneng (@LeratoMotsoene8) which she used to slander Tumi Sole. ‘I was never at a Durban hotel with Tumi Sole nor was I ever raped by him. To this end, I would like to apologise to all South Africans for my actions and undertake to go for counselling and refrain from any further false and defamatory accusations against Tumi Sole’ the letter read.

Tinah Mashiloane has released a video on her YouTube channel double backing from her 2019 apology. On her video Tinah Mashiloane says she did not write an apology to Tumi Sole but she was rather co-erced into signing the letter of apology. As it stands she is unapologetic for accusing Tumi Sole of raping and infecting her with HIV. According to her this incident took place. She further says she has since began a long journey of healing and wants everybody to know what really happened to her. She further says no where did she extort money from Tumi Sole and his family as alleged on social media.

Tumi Sole has since issued a notice of intent to sue Tinah Mashiloane for accusing him of raping and infecting her with HIV.
