Hey Kyotic, the last time we met was at Sir Trill’s album launch ‘Ghost’… Beautiful gowns, Did you finally listen to all 101 songs on that album?
- Yeah, I listened. I was there for the album listening session. In my opinion, the album may have not done well because it was not a commercial album.
I immediately wanna talk about The Kyotic City… What is that all about?
- The Kyotic City is a movement. An infusion of fashion, gaming and music.
What inspired The Kyotic City?
- I wanted to turn my birthday celebration into a lifestyle.
If one was to visit The Kyotic City, what should one expect? This city sounds fancy, a place I’d definitely wanna visit,
- One could expect a lot of vibe, a safe non-judgmental space, cultural diversity and a city full of fashionistas.
What are some of the exciting acts or activities one could look forward to at The Kyotic City?
- A whole line up including Thuli P, PH, 2wobunnies, Oscar Mbo and many other exciting acts.
2wobunnies may have a bone to pick with me, will I be safe?
- Yeah definitely, no one is gonna beat you up. The Kyotic City is a safe space for everyone.

I seen that DJ Thuli P. is also gonna be at The Kyotic City, is she booked as a solo DJ or as 2Faced?
- When we did the line up she was booked as a solo artist, maybe she will still let us know some time this week if they will be coming as 2Faced.
What are your thoughts on 2Faced by the way?
- 2Faced is a dope concept. An infusion of two different sounds.
What’s the difference between The Kyotic City and DJ Shimza’s Kunye?
- Musically, at The Kyotic City there is a more variety of music one could expect and accommodation of a wider audience.
I think this is gonna be the first time everybody will be visiting The Kyotic City, how often should we expect to visit this fabulous city?
- Actually no, The Kyotic City was established in 2021. Going forward we are gonna be doing activations every 3 months.
